Dr. Nakano is a board certified oral surgeon in Thousand Oaks, CA. He graduated from the University of California San Diego with a bachelors of science and then received his D.M.D. degree from Boston University in Boston, MA. He then completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Lincoln Hospital-Cornell University. He now has a private practice in Thousand Oaks, California in Ventura County.
Dr. Nakano is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and numerous other national dental and anesthesiology organizations. He also currently volunteers his time to numerous local and national dental clinics as well as serving as Area Director for the Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Society and a Delegate for California Dental Association. I had a root canal with another doctor that ended up not being able to be finished because of the condition of my tooth, so I was referred to Dr. Nakano’s office and they were able to take me immediately for an extraction. Dr. Nakano and his staff were very professional and friendly. Months later after healing from the extraction, I returned for an implant procedure. The staff and Dr. Nakano explained the procedure and the instructions very thoroughly so that I felt confident about doing it. Post-surgery recovery was very quick and I had no pain or problems. The overall experience was excellent and I highly recommend Dr. Nakano and his staff.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Nakano and his wonderful staff! Dr. Nakano is extremely caring to his patients and I appreciate how he took the time to make me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my treatment. From the moment I walked through the front desk I was always greeted warmly and the girls in the back office were exceptionally kind as well. I had a complicated dental infection that required special care, and was referred around to several doctors. However, Dr. Nakano was able to take care of my tooth and help me receive the implant I needed. All of our interactions with Dr. Nakano and his staff have been pleasant and professional. It’s a very busy office, but they always returned our phone calls. Our 16 yr old had all four wisdom teeth surgically removed at once, and his recovery has been smooth sailing so far. We couldn’t ask for a better experience.

I have had two implant procedures, both with Dr. Nakano. Both experiences were seamless starting with the front office staff. I was truly made to feel as if I were Dr. Nakano’s only patient. Scheduling was very accommodating, and once there Dr. Nakano gets it done!! With both procedures I never experienced any residual discomfort and was able to resume my normal life without any major disruption. All of Dr. Nankano’s assistances genuinely care about you, as this is evident by the way I was treated every time I was there.
Wow that was Easy. Dental assistance handling the proprietary portion was painless even though getting a tooth pulled is not a happy thing. I was happy for all their support, care an basic concern for me making sure I knew what was happening and I was comfortable and safe. Dr. Nakano and his team are the best.
